New Home Office fees have been announced with effect from 6 April 2017.
The worst affected categories are as follows:
applications for indefinite leave to remain: previous fee £1875 – new fee £2297;
extension of leave to remain for spouse visa holders and other non PBS categories: previous fee £811 – new fee £993;
applications for entry clearance for “other dependent relatives” – previous fee £2676 – new fee £3250.
Premium service appointments in the Public Enquiry Office for same day processing of applications for extension of leave to remain are to be charged at £590 as opposed to previous £500.
Nationality fees have not been significantly affected. Naturalisation application fee is now £1282 and registration of a child is £973.
Ironically, the fees for entrepreneurs and investors have only been adjusted for inflation by £20 and £30 respectively.
Other Points Based categories and Visit visa fees also remain without significant changes.
Fees for transfer of condition (i.e. applications for a document confirming indefinite leave to remain previously issued, or a document confirming previously issued limited leave to remain) have been reduced. The fee for confirmation of indefinite leave to remain has dropped from £308 to £237.
