Services for UK businesses
We offer a reliable and cost effective alternative to large city-based law firms.
Our legal advice is reliable and accurate. Our immigration lawyers speak in simple terms and avoid unnecessary jargon. We are authorised to represent you in any matters related to UK immigration.
Sponsor licence applications
Since the introduction of the Skilled Worker route in December 2020, UK businesses may sponsor medium skilled workers from any country in the world.
In order to become a sponsor, you need a sponsor licence. This licence will also allow you to sponsor workers from the EU if they don’t have have a settled or pre-settled status which protects their pre-Brexit right to work.
Applications for sponsor licence have to be prepared carefully with detailed attention to your internal procedures for immigration compliance. A failed application may trigger a cooling off period of six months, and you may lose the chance to employ the right person at the right time.
We make all the necessary checks before the Home Office, so that you never worry about an audit or a fine.
You may also wish to find the most cost effective solution for temporary positions or for specific short term projects. This may require a sponsor licence under the Global business mobility scheme, or you may choose to rely on the Government Authorised Exchange scheme to hire an intern or fill a temporary position.
Our lawyers are happy to advise on the best immigration option to suit your business needs.
Immigration compliance advice and training
If you need support and training to ensure you are fully compliant with the Home Office immigration requirements and maintain the highest rating as a sponsor, we are the right people to make things simple for you.
Our immigration lawyers promise quality and attention to every detail, personalised approach to your business and minimum bureaucracy.
Advice on post-Brexit employment of EU nationals
Since January 2021, the rights of EU nationals are not the same. Many EU nationals continue to have an unrestricted right to work, others may need sponsorship. You also need proof of your employees’ right to work, which includes EEA nationals if they started working for you after 1 January 2021.
If you have any concerns about your employees’ right to work or wish to ensure that all employees working for you now retain their rights, please get in touch with our Immigration Lawyers. We are the right people to help you.
Sponsor Management System
We can be appointed as your Key Contact and Level 1 user to manage the Sponsor Management System on your behalf.
Sponsor Management System has to be regularly updated to reflect any relevant changes to your business or the employee’s terms of contract. Acting as Level 1 users for our clients allows us to notify the Home Office of any relevant matters, request new allocations, assign certificates of sponsorship and keep the SMS up-to-date.
Visa applications for sponsored workers and their family members
We understand that you would wish to make the visa applications for your employees and their family members in the most cost-efficient way and cost will be related to the duration of the visa and the number of people you sponsor.
The sponsored employees are permitted to bring to the UK their immediate family (partner and children under 18). Their immigration route has to be carefully planned to save the time and cost of applications.
Advice on permitted activities for business visitors
The rules on permitted activities for business visitors are quite complex and there may be more than one view on what’s permitted and what’s not. If you have a specific project in mind and have any doubts about permitted activities, we strongly recommend that you take it seriously.
